I currently serve as the Director of District Support and 1003 for the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education in Arkansas. I work with districts identified under Act 1082 and those receiving 1003 funds—specifically those where 40% or more of students are not reading on grade level or where subpopulations are underperforming. My focus is on helping districts build systems that improve reading outcomes and support lasting student success.
My career in education has included roles as a state literacy coach, building administrator, and classroom teacher. Each of these experiences has shaped my belief that strong leadership, aligned systems, and evidence-based instruction are key to helping students grow—especially in literacy.
I hold a Master’s in Building Administration and a B.S.E. in Elementary Education. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, traveling, and spending time with my husband and our two children.
