I serve as the Local LEADS Captain for the OUR Education Cooperative in Harrison, Arkansas, supporting children birth to five years old, along with their providers, families, and communities across eight counties: Baxter, Boone, Carroll, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Newton, and Searcy. In partnership with the Arkansas Office of Early Childhood, now a division of the Arkansas Department of Education, I work to ensure that all children in our state have access to equal resources.
After nearly 30 years in Arkansas K–12 public education—more than half of that time spent as a librarian—I have seen firsthand how access to resources, opportunities for collaboration, and strong relationships can be powerful catalysts for growth. I’m passionate about helping others tap into the support they need.
