About me
I was an AR educator for Pulaski County Special School District for 23 years. I've taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and First grade. At the end of the 2018-19 school year, I decided it was time to seek other career opportunities in Education. July 2019, I was hired by Arkansas Department of Education as a Licensure Advisor for Educator Licensure. I provided licensure assistance to educators teaching in our state as well as educators planning to move to our state to teach. I also assisted with processing applications for career and technical permits. I was recently promoted to Program Coordinator for Educator Licensure February 2024. In my new position I am a consultant for licensure advisors, and I process and approve licensure exceptions (additional licensure plans, emergency teaching permits and long-term substitutes) for all Arkansas K-12 Public, Charter, and Private Schools.
