Freddie Scott has a varied career that spans more than thirty years of team building and professional services marketing encompassing education, health, technology, and entrepreneurship consulting. Freddie was recently inducted into the 2023 class of the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame as well as the 2025 class of the Jefferson County Sports Hall of Fame. He has served in numerous capacities including business development consulting, Board Policy & Governance and executive/leadership coaching, charter school management and accountability. He is currently serving as the Operations Manager for the ADE Division of Elementary and Secondary Education Office of School Choice and Parent Empowerment. This work includes a keen focus on both Family and Community Engagement and the Charter Schools Unit. He also is keenly focused on leading and supporting internal and external stakeholders, in qualifying and building partnerships with community assets that contribute to school and student success.
Freddie is an Arkansan who graduated valedictorian from Southeast High School (Pine Bluff), B.A. cum laude from Amherst College (MA) and completed one year of credits in Medical School at University of Cincinnati College of Medicaine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the University of Michigan Medical School. Afterwards he spent 11 years playing professional football as a wide receiver with the Baltimore Colts and Detroit Lions of the NFL and the LA Express of the USFL. In 2001 Freddie was elected and enshrined into the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame.
