Dr. LaShanda Simmons Fason brings 27 years of educational experience across rural and urban settings to her role as Director of Early Literacy for TNTP. Specializing in early literacy instruction, she has provided targeted instructional coaching to K-8 teachers while supporting school leaders through customized professional development centered on the science of reading. Her experience leading teams of district literacy advisors and coaches reflects her deep commitment to improving literacy outcomes for all students.
