With the integration of Cambridge Advanced (International AS & A Levels) and the AICE Diploma into Arkansas’s accelerated learning framework, students can now access rigorous, globally respected coursework that aligns with their career interests and the opportunity to earn valuable college credit.

Participants will discuss how this innovative pathway supports personalized learning, fosters college and career readiness, and empowers students through unique, career-themed courses in fields such as global perspectives, digital media, travel & tourism, environmental management, and business. The session will also highlight how the ACCESS Act simplifies credit transfer, expands scholarship access, and strengthens alignment between K–12 education, postsecondary institutions, and workforce needs.

This session explores the design and delivery of the new accelerated standards for grades 5–8 within honors courses. Participants will learn how these standards can be implemented to support more rigorous learning opportunities and challenge students beyond grade-level expectations. The session will cover strategies for aligning instruction, fostering deeper academic engagement, and preparing students for future advanced coursework.
