ADE Summit 2025

This session provides school administrators with a high-level overview of key federal child nutrition programs, including the School Breakfast Program (SBP), the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), and Special Provision Options such as the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and Provision 2. Participants will gain insights into program implementation, eligibility requirements, and strategies for maximizing participation while streamlining administrative processes.

This session will provide an overview of cyber safety and digital wellness for students including topics such as media literacy, online safety, critical thinking skills, and physical and emotional impacts.

The goal of this session is to provide background information on why cybersecurity is important in the context of school safety planning, to identify common cyber threats facing K-12 networks and systems, and to discuss the importance of developing a Cyber annex as part of the school emergency operations plan.

Join a discussion on three laws passed during the 2023 Arkansas Regular Session that aim to increase cybersecurity and data privacy for school districts. Topics will include the latest information on requirements, timelines, and resources for the K12 Cybersecurity Policy (Act 504), the Student Data Vendor Security Act (Act 754), and the Arkansas Self-Funded Cyber Response Program (Act 846).
